Melbourne, Wednesday, February 5, 2025
The Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team was announced today under the formation of the Winner Motorcycles Racing infrastructure, with key support from Peter Stevens Motorcycles and Triumph Motorcycles Australia.
Fielding a confirmed three- rider line up in the ProMX Championship, Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team will house two riders in the MX2 class riding the TF250 – X and a new signing in MX1 with the All-New TF450-RC – Triumphs’ flagship motocross model developed by “The GOAT” Ricky Carmichael.
“We welcome Winner Motorcycles Racing Program, working with Peter Stevens Motorcycles, into the Triumph Motorcycles Australia network.
It’s exciting to have a team so dedicated to the off-road scene represent our exciting new range of MX motorcycles. We wish Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team the best of luck for this upcoming 2025 season as we work to establish the Triumph Australia off-road program for the future” says Triumph Motorcycles Australia, Brand Manager, Jon Kent.
Peter Stevens Motorcycles General Manager Luke McDonnell says after a great season last year, the formation of the Winner Triumph Australia Racing Team was a natural progression for both parties.
“We are thrilled to see Triumph find a home to go racing at a national level in 2025 and to expand our relationship with the Winner Motorcycles Racing program.” .
“With Triumph being a key manufacturer under our dealership network, the All-New TF450-RC model is going to shake things up with its incredible capabilities on track. We knew with this amazing machine finally going to market in early 2025, we needed to showcase it to the Australian racing community at the highest levels of racing”.
“We wish the Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team the best of luck this season as we work together to grow the Triumph brand footprint in 2025”, McDonnell said.
Investing in experienced talent in their inaugural Championship season, the Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team welcomes Jack Simpson return to home soil, with the multi discipline champion signing to compete in the ProMX MX1 Class Championship in 2025.
Simpson, a former MX3 Class Championship contender, AORC Champion and multi time Finke and Hattah podium finisher, returns to Australian domestic competition following a five-year stint of international racing in America.
During this time Simpson claimed the 2023 WORCS PRO 2 Class Championship along with placing 3rd in the WORCS PRO 450 Class Championship in 2024.
“I am so excited to be back to my roots and racing in Australia”, commented Simpson.
“My last ProMX season was all the way back in 2015 and since then I have travelled the world racing in Off-Road, Desert and more. To come home this year and have the honour of racing the All-New TF450-RC is amazing and I want to thank Winner Triumph Racing Australia for this opportunity”, concluded Simpson.
Alongside Simpson, the Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team retains its current MX2 Class roster of Connar Adams and Thynan Kean, both riders committed to riding the TF250-X in the upcoming 2025 ProMX Championship and AUSX Championship.
Winner Motorcycles Racing program owner Karen Adams also commented on the announcement of the new Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team.
“To sign this deal to be a official racing partner for an esteemed brand such as Triumph, is a remarkable milestone”, commented Adams.
“We have a lot of work ahead of us in developing the All-New TF450-RC and signing a rider with the calibre of Jack Simpson, along with our MX2 riders of Connar Adams and Thynan Kean, will elevate our competitive edge for the 2025 racing season”.
“The Team, Peter Stevens Motorcycles and Triumph Motorcycles Australia recognises that in our inaugural Championship season this will be a learning year, but I’m confident that between our infrastructure, the Triumph platform and our riders will enable us to be competitive as the season progresses”.
With further partnership announcements in the coming weeks for Winner Triumph Racing Australia, the team eagerly awaits the opening round of the ProMX Championship, on March 22-23, in Wonthaggi, Victoria.
