ProMX Final Round in Sights for Moto1 Motorcycles KTM
The Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Team will make the short commute to Queensland Moto Park (QMP) for the Final Round of the ProMX Championship this weekend on August the 17th and 18th, looking to finish the Motocross season with statement rides across the MX3 Class.
Deacon Paice enters QMP with a solid 5th position in the MX3 Class Championship standings, with QMP proving as a final opportunity to score another podium from the 2024 Championship.
After double holeshots and laps once again led at MX Farm, Paice looks to capitalise on the familiar QMP track and potential muddy conditions to excel at the Final Round.
“I’m excited to go racing at QMP. Being based in QLD this season has allowed me to learn and race on this track already. There’s a potential for a mud race and I don’t mind hanging it out in the mud, so either way I will be going for good starts and track position early,” commented Paice.
Fellow Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Teammate Zac O’Loan will be joined by support program riders Phoenix Van Dusschoten and Cooper Philips out of New Zealand, all of whom will be looking to finish the season strong at QMP.
Moto1 Motorcycles Dealership owner Shane Fretwell commented on the growth of the Racing program leading into QMP, stating: “Our pathway for riders from New Zealand and Australia who wish to cut their teeth in the MX3 class has been hugely successful this season and to see both Phoenix and Phillips have their season best performances at MX Farm is a great sign heading into QMP. Deacon Paice has also led the way for the Team and to see him come away with another podium this weekend would be a great finish to the Championship for us.”
Round 8 of the 2024 ProMX Championship takes place at QMP, on Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of August, with the event being broadcast across free-to-air coverage on SBS and the streaming platform SBS On Demand along with the ProMX TV live stream coverage.
