Moto1 Motorcycles Honda Push Through ProMX Round 7 After Challenging Day

The Moto1 Motorcycles Honda Team debuted the 2025 Honda CRF250R at Round 7 of the ProMX Championship, taking place at MX Farm, QLD on Sunday 11th August. With both Rian and Curtis King based on the Sunshine Coast, the local track saw confidence high as the duo took to the track in the MX2 Class.

On track with the new 25’ CRF250R for MX2 Qualifying, both Rian and Curits would struggle to find a flow on the unusually heavy MX Farm conditions, posting times good enough for 16th and 17th place respectively.

With the long start straight at MX Farm and gate pick being crucial, the qualifying position complications began as both riders would struggle to gate close to the top 10 in both Motos.

Rian King would post 18-13 Moto Scores en route to 15th overall, whilst race related issues would see Curtis King finish outside of the Overall points from Round 7.

“Today was frustrating and we need to be better with Qualifying as that sets the tone for the day,” commented Rian King. “I felt great on the 2025 CRF250R and I’m frustrated I couldn’t find a flow and translate that into solid results for the Team and myself. I know what we need to work on and I’m excited we get another chance next weekend at QMP to finish the season strong.”

The Moto1 Motorcycles Honda Team now head to Queensland Moto Park (QMP) for the Final Round of the ProMX Championship on the 17th and 18th August.
