Moto1 Motorcycles Honda Battle For Top 10s in Strong MX2 Class

The Moto1 Motorcycles Honda Racing Team was on track at Toowoomba for Round 6 of the ProMX Championship. Fielding a special “Honda Elsinore” livery for Retro Round, both Rian and Curtis King stood out as part of the special one off Round per season.

Out on track, the Toowoomba ruts were certainly a steep learning curve for both riders, as challenging conditions pushed them to adapt on a very challenging race track.

Rian King would push through a challenging day with small mistakes and come from behind performances, posting 11-13 Moto scores leading to an eventual 12th Overall from Round 6.

“Today wasn’t my best performance and I struggled to find the flow and speed from Murray Bridge. I was able to put together two solid Moto’s though and that’s an improvement from the previous Round and also shows we are hading in the right direction coming back from my finger injury and recent surgery,” commented Rian King.

In similar fashion, Curtis King would charge from average starts and track position early, pushing to the chequered flag in both Moto’s to claim an eventual 17th overall on the day.

The Moto1 Motorcycles Honda support program was also on track at Toowoomba, with both MXW Class riders Taryn Cox and Meagan Bagnall on track at Toowoomba.

The Moto1 Motorcycles Honda Team now focus on ProMX Round 7 at MX Farm on Sunday 11th August.
