Moto 1 Motorcycles Pushing For More Wins At ProMX Gillman
The Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Racing Team are ready for ProMX Round 3, as the Team makes the long 2000km journey to Gillman, SA for the gates to drop on Sunday 5th May. As the Team rides the high of Deacon Paice claiming his first career win and 2nd Overall at Horsham just one rond ago, momentum is with the Sunshine Coast based squad as racing gets underway at Gillman.
The trio of MX3 class riders will be on track at Gillman, with Deacon Paice leading the charge along with Team Mates Zac O’Loan and Jett Williams. For the second consecutive Round, the FOX Racing MX85 class will join the ProMX action, with youngster Lewis Fretwell competing under the Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Team.
For Deacon Paice, Gillman is an exciting opportunity to further establish himself as a race winner and MX3 Class Championship contender.
“Horsham was a dream day for me and now I know I can win races and challenge for overall wins”, commented Paice.
“I’ve always been known as a sand and loam rider coming from WA and Gillman is a mix of both. I’m excited to let it hang out and let my experience in these conditions land me towards the front of the field when the gate drops”, concluded Paice.
As Jett Williams continues his return from injury, Gillman offers another opportunity to log gate drops and laps on his return to race fitness.
“My speed has been great since I’ve returned to Racing and at a State Racing level, I’ve been able to post great results in the shorter races. ProMX is another level, but I’m comfortable in the sandy dirt and can’t wait to go racing at Gillman”, said Williams.
For Zac O’Loan, Gillman will be another test of consistency as he moves towards his goals of Top 15 finishes in the highly competitive MX3 Class.
“I’ve been frustrated so far this season but it is starting to turn around and I am looking forward to Gillman to continue the progression the Team and I have been targeting since Round 1”, said O’Loan.
Round 3 of the 2024 ProMX Championship takes place at Gillman, South Australia, Victoria on Sunday 5th May, with the event being broadcast across free-to-air coverage on SBS and the streaming platform SBS On Demand along with the ProMX TV live stream coverage.
