Injury Update: Nathan Crawford to miss MXoN and the MXGP of China

It’s been announced that Nathan Crawford will miss the MXGP of China and the Motocross of Nations, where he was set to represent Team New Zealand, following a wrist injury suffered at round seven of ProMX at MX Farm.

Having already undergone surgery, the man who finished behind only Kyle Webster and Jed Beaton in the MX1 standings will now shift his attention to his recovery to be back for the Australian Supercross Championship.

Valiantly fighting through the pain barrier at the final stop on the calendar at QMP to clinch third in the championship, this was a hugely impressive effort from the #199.

“KTM Racing Team and Nathan Crawford have made the decision to focus on the upcoming Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX) while he recovers from a wrist injury picked up in the closing stages of ProMX,” read a KTM statement.

“Crawford managed to claim third in the MX1 standings despite the injury, but will unfortunately have to sit out his scheduled MXGP of China and Motocross of Nations (MXoN) appearances. See you back at the track soon Nato.”

A fiercely competitive rider with a strong mindset, expect Crawford to come out swinging and be ready to go for the AUSX opener at Redcliffe on October the 12th.
