Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Development Team rider Darci Whalley rode to a fantastic 10th Overall in the MXW Class at the Opening Round of the 2025 ProMX Championship.

Combining domestic and international riders from the Nations competing in the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup, Whalley fought hard against some of the best female riders in the world in the rough sands of Wonthaggi.

Competing across a four moto format over the weekend, Whalley was able to log consistent laps and stay out of trouble in the highly competitive MXW and FIM field.

After claiming the Holeshot in Moto 1, Whalley would push to 9-11 finishes in the MXW class points scoring races, en route to 10th Overall for Wonthaggi.

“This was a great experience racing with some of the elite female racers in the world. In only my second year as a senior racer I learned a lot seeing the American girls ride, especailly in the opening moto when I got the holeshot and was able to run up front in the opening laps.”

“My results had me inside the top 5 for the Australian competitors which is where I should be this season, so it’s a great start to the year. Thanks to Moto1 Motorcycles for their continued support with my National racing in 2025”, commented Whalley.

Darci Whalley and the Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Development Team now focus on Round 3 of the Sunshine State Motocross Championships, taking place at Warwick on the weekend of April 5th and 6th.
