AUSX Sprint Awaits SX1 Rookie Caleb Goullet In Adelaide
Caleb Goullet enters Adelaide for Round 4 of the Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX) and the Supercross Sprint format with confidence following a season-best performance at Wollongong.
Aboard the JKAYS Elliot Bros Racing GasGas MC450, Goullet has continued to refine his privateer program, testing and training since returning from Wollongong 2 weeks ago. With the added confidence and experience from the Wollongong Triple Crown, Goullet is optimistic about his chances in the AUSX Sprint Round.
“The bike changes we made heading into Wollongong made an immediate difference to how I felt on the track and it showed with my results”, commented Goullet.
“I’ve been learning the tracks fast in qualifying and I think that will be essential for the Sprint Round short races, so I’m excited to get some good starts and go for it with the Factory riders. As a rookie in SX1 fitness has been something I’ve had to develop on the bigger bike and longer races, but with this format I’m excited we can really let it hang out for the shorter sprints. It’s also great we can be at an event in collaboration with the V8 Supercars and the Adelaide 500 to give back to my sponsors like JKAYS Group and expose them to a whole new audience.”
Caleb Goullet currently sits in 20th in the SX1 Championship, making every main event of the season so far with a season best 17th at Round 3 in Wollongong.
Round 4 of the 2024 Australian Supercross Championship takes place in Adelaide as a part of the Adelaide 500 across Friday 15th and Saturday 16th November. The event will be broadcast across free-to-air coverage on KAYO Streaming in Australia and MAVTV for international audiences.
