Alsop Focused On Starts And Track Position Ahead Of ProMX Gillman
Ride Red Honda’s Jet Alsop comes into Gillman, SA for Round 3 of the 2025 ProMX Championship sitting 3rd in the MX3 Class after a consistent start to the season. With Starts and early race track position hindering his results, Alsop comes into Gillman with a clear focus on executing solid gate drops when racing begins on Sunday.
“Following Appin, I knew my starts really needed some attention and I’m not going to take the next step with my results until we execute the gate drops when it counts”.
“We have spent the last few weeks figuring out my start technique and I’m really happy with where we are at. Gillman is a very start dependent track at times with the 180 left hand first turn, so the importance of a good start here to battle for the lead early will be key”, said Alsop.
Alongside the ProMX calendar, Alsop took his Ride Ride Honda to victory at the Connondale natural terrain series last weekend in the MX2 Class, further boosting Jet’s confidence in his return to form season.
“Connondale was great and I was able to come out on top in the MX2 class. As I keep saying we have a game plan this season to build momentum and confidence on the new Honda and the next step is to get some starts and run up front with Woods and Kingsford if the opportunity is there”, concluded Alsop.
With a core group of sponsors complementing the Honda Ride Red support program and Jed Parsons MX Development infrastructure, Alsop continues to build towards an MX3 Championship run in 2025.
Round 3 of the 2025 ProMX Championship will take place in Gillman, SA on Sunday April 27th. The event is broadcast across free-to-air coverage on SBS and streaming platform SBS On Demand along with the ProMX TV livestream coverage.
