Kawasaki Australia claimed double podium finishes on Sunday at Appin for Round 2 of the 2025 ProMX Championship. Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki’s Luke Clout took 3rd Overall in the MX1 Class and Penrite Racing Go24 Team Green Kawasaki rider Cooper Rowe had a career best 3rd Overall in the MX3 Class.

In the MX1 Class, Luke Clout showed his speed and confidence in the rutted conditions early in the day by logging the 2nd fastest time in the Superpole session, just 0.234 seconds out of pole position.

Pulling the Holeshot in the Opening Moto, Clout would lead for the first five laps before being shuffled back to 3rd position in the battle for the lead , where he would stay for the remainder of the race.

In Moto 2, a poor start saw Clout charge through the field on the opening lap before settling into 4th position. Laying down the fastest laps of the field mid race, Clout eventually passed into 3rd position to take 3-3 Moto scores and 3rd Overall for Round 2.

“I had some really good speed today and finally felt like myself on the bike again and it showed. The bike is great and the team has been amazing. I’m frustrated because we were the fastest bike on track in the final moto but my start meant I couldn’t challenge for the win,” said Clout.

“We gained good points today and that’s great for the Championship so I’m happy and we are onto Gillman now for Round 3”, concluded Clout.

In the MX2 Class, Ryan Alexanderson would battle hard all day, pulling great starts and track position, but struggling to execute clean laps on the technical Appin track. With 8-9 Moto scores, Alexanderson would settle for 9th Overall in MX2.

Cooper Rowe excelled at Appin, the young MX3 Class rider taking a career best 3rd overall as a member of the Brett Metcalfe managed Go24 Team Green Kawasaki program.

With 5-3 moto scores, Rowe’s speed and consistency rewarded him with an overall podium.

“Ive been working hard for a long time and to achieve this 3rd Overall is an amazing feeling for me, my family and the entire Go24 Team Green program. Thanks to everyone involved, I can’t wait for more of this throughout the season”, said Rowe.

Kawasaki Australia now focus on the red sands of Gillman, SA, for Round 3 of the 2025 ProMX Championship taking place on Sunday April 27th.
