For Immediate Release

The Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Racing Team today unveils an expanded lineup of riders that are primed and ready to go for the 2024 ProMX and Sunshine State Championship.

Focusing to house a development program in partnership with KTM Australia, the team is comprised of up and coming QLD based talent who are looking to make an impact at both a national and state level racing in 2024.

The familiar faces returning to the team of Jett Williams and Zac O’Loan will be joined by Western Australian young gun Deacon Paice, now residing in QLD, who will complete the trio of MX3 riders fielded by the team.

“I’m excited to continue my relationship with KTM Australia and have found an amazing home here in QLD with the Moto1 Motorcycles team” commented Paice (AGE) from WA.

“Relocating to QLD to chase my racing dreams has not been an easy task, but the team and our mechanic Josh from JR Factory Services has given me everything I need to be successful in 24’ and grow from my season best 3rd place in the opening Moto at Coolum last year”, concluded Paice.

In an exciting addition to the team program for 24’, Darci Whalley will join the as a graduating junior rider, competing in the MXW class across ProMX and the Sunshine State Championships.

“Signing for the Moto1 KTM Racing Team heading into my first year of seniors is a dream come true”, said Whalley.

“I have ridden for Factory teams as a junior and coming across to Moto1 and KTM, I’m receiving such great support from all of our partners, it’s making it easy to prepare for my first season as a senior rider, racing the older girls in the MXW class. I can’t wait to go racing and see where I fit in with a very fast group of female racers” commented Whalley.

Moto1 Motorcycles Dealership and Race Team owner Shane Fretwell is excited to go racing in 2024.

“As a team we have a tight knit group of riders and families that I feel passionately about giving great equipment, opportunities and guidance for them to achieve their racing goals in 2024” states Fretwell.

“The Moto1 Motorcycles Dealership has achieved tremendous growth in recent years and our Race Team is a great platform to further expand the Moto1 brand to a national footprint and offer our QLD based team riders the opportunity to do the same” commented Fretwell.

“With KTM and our other key partners stepping up, this will be our biggest season to date within the Race Team program and I can’t wait for the gates to drop and the team to get after it in the coming weeks” concluded Fretwell.

The Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Racing Team will debut at Round 1 of the Sunshine State Championships at Hervey Bay on February 24th followed by the opening round of the ProMX Championship at Wonthaggi, Victoria on March 17th.
